Large ceiling fans
Beyond 35 m², a fan of 107 to 122 cm only moves the air properly in half the room. A large diameter moves the same volume of air while turning more slowly: the airflow covers the whole living room, and it stays discreet.

Your questions, answered
Which diameter for which floor area?+
From 15 to 25 m², 107 to 132 cm. From 25 to 35 m², 132 to 152 cm, with 142 cm as the pivot size for 30 m². Beyond 35 m², 152 to 178 cm, or two fans.
Is a large fan noisier?+
It is the opposite. A fan that is too small has to run flat out to cover the room and becomes audible. A large diameter moves more air at low speed.
One large fan or two medium ones?+
In an L-shaped room or a through living room more than 10 m long, two medium fans cover better than one badly placed giant. In a regular volume, a single large diameter is enough.
